Front wheel bearing on a 4x4???

    cold air intake, 20'' rims
    I've looked and searched but theres not any info on replacing the front wheel bearing on my 99 4x4. any help would be appreciated.

    :rolleyes: 1st gen wheel bearings can be a pain in the ass, because the bearing is not in a cartridge like 2nd-gens. Here's a guide: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/260188-changing-out-wheel-bearing-how.html Looks like you need a press and a special socket adapter.

    my apologies for posting the wrong application. I thought BAMA did both. Still the search function works if you try.:D

    On the other hand, now may be a good opportunity to weld in spindle gussets, since all the "soft" parts have been stripped from the spindle. :D

    Well I got it. it was a pain in the ass even with a press. And I did search as my original thread said i did. Thanks Ken but that one is for a manual locking hub. Mine is not so I apologize for that.
