I will be having a '96 4Runner for sale shortly. It is currently at the mechanic's shop. I'll shoot some pictures of it later this week and put them up along with it later. Here's the deal:
    96 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4wd works great
    almost 260,000 mi
In the shop because the torque converter crapped out and put metal into the transmission
The rest of the truck is in good condition, I even have some extra parts (ball joints, tie rods, diff fluid, etc.) that will go with it as I don't have the time to put it all in right now.
If it was all running and good to go, I'd sell it for around $2,500, but given that it needs a tranny rebuild (and I am not mechanically inclined) the work to have it done is about $2,500. My mechanic, who is a great guy and a heck of a mechanic--Steve @ Metropolitan Garage in Fairbanks-- let me know what the problem was and told me that for a "backyard mechanic" it's about $500 in parts and a weekend worth of work doing the rebuild. I am not that guy.
So the long and short of it is, I'd like to get $1000 out of it. For someone that can do it, it sounds like it's a few days work and likely a $1000 (or more) profit. I would include all paperwork on it--especially the most recent notes from the garage.
PM with any questions or comments. I'll reply as quickly and with as much detail as I can. Thanks.

    Steve

I am posting here first to give you guys first dibs or ask any questions so she can go to someone I know will look after her. Later this week when I get the pictures, you'll be able to find the ad on Craigslist.

Measure the lengths, the legs that stick out from the frame are easy to redo. (You're welding them on right?)
