The factory radio is very sad I ordered as follows

    Alpine CDA-9887 receiver
    Polk Audio db651s 6.5's
    PAC SWI-JACK
I also have a alpine cd changer to go with this.

I installed the 6.5's and didn't notice much difference
in sound. Just not quite as much bass.
I'm thinking about going to a 6x9 in the front doors and putting the 6.5's in the rear doors. I'm sure the new radio will sound better than the factory onedoes.

Does anyone have any pictures of 2 8's or 1 10" sub in the double cab tacoma.

I have the 9887 and at first it was a little overkill for me but 4 months later I love this HU. It has so much flexibility, it def take some time to get use to and adjust. Good luck!

I installed the HU today along with the 6 disc changer. The sound is a lot better than factory. I mounted the changer in the center consol.

I ordered some more gear. 6.5's for the rear and the Alpine KTX-100EQ imprint.

I have a orion hcca225 amp and I'm not sure about what subs to put in yet. I have 2 RF8s. But I might go with a single 10 or 12.

Does anyone have a single 10 ir12 in their double cab?
