Hello, new tacoma owner here. Anyway, just installed 4 bilstein 5100 for my 07 Double Cab last week. Set the perch at 1.75 to level the truck. Seems nose high IMO. Finally drove it a good bit today and felt stiff/bumpy. I even felt my stomach jiggle going down the road which I haven't felt with my factory shocks. Handles a lot better than stocks for sure . SR5 non trd model PreRunner. I kept the factory springs and just installed the new shocks. Would lowering it to 0.85 give me a slight lift and factory-like ride? Was thinking of ome 884 since they list it as soft compared to 885. Recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I measured the front and rears at 36.5" with 245/75R16 tires.

It's going to feel stiffer with the 5100 lift settings. The springs are being compressed more. .85 may feel a litter better. Depending on your rear springs, 1.75 will put you a little nose high. .85 will probably be closer to level.

What these guys have said. The more preload the stiffer the ride. and set that high is far from being stock preload.

5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
884's will put you nose high. I did 883's at 0 on the 5100's and its level.

I had 5100s set at 2.5 with TRD coils on my 05 AC. Those were OK on road and too stiff offroad........

I have 5100s set at 1.75 with SR5 coils on my 08 RC right now......

Night and day difference to the 05. Good on road and off, nowhere near as stiff as the 05 was. 08 RC has 1.25" rake, higher in back with shitty 3 leaf pack on it. I expect to get maybe .5 - .75 lift in back when I swap to the 5k miles oem 4 leaf pack. Might get none but still OK with 1.25 rake higher in back.

Not sure why OP's would be that stiff at 1.75 setting with SR5 coils unless the spring perches are upside down.

Rechecked the installation. Springs sits fine on the top and bottom. Based on responses I've received, I will lower it to the 0.85 setting. I assumed from reading post by others with stock springs and 5100 setting at 1.75 rode like normal. Guess not. Thanks for the input fellas. I'll wait until my tires wear out then install ome 884 or eibachs along with toytec AAL. Getting a set of 17" tss wheels with 265/65R17 soon. Tires look small, so lowering the front to 0.85 will keep it factory-like until I upgrade to 265/70R17 later on.

Hey op, I think most lifts include a larger diameter tire. They, to a degree lessen the small bump feel. They did on mine. Hope this helps.

How many leafs do you have in the rear. If you only have 3 total, then 1.75 will put you nose high. If you have 4, then 1.75 should be close to level.

    none yet
I have four Bilstein 5100s too and I like it. with all if the upgrades, this is probably one money well spent for me. Plus, I'd rather see my fat jiggle than seeing my fat rolls from side to side as I make turns
