Wonder if this would work on a 2007 with an after market head unit. I'd like one.

Where are you trying to install it? In the tailgate handle?.. or a different location?

I am looking to get one that mounts to the two bolts on the license plate so I can see if my tailgate is down. I will be connecting it to my Pioneer 4000NEX

I'd like the tailgate handle. But having some trouble figuring out how to wire it up on my 2007. Going to be connecting mine to a Kenwood KDX470 (if memory serves me thats the model). Still searching this site though.

Edit: I'm a moron, the headunit model is in my signature.

I'm thinking that I am going to go with this unit from e-bay. Imagine it is a cheapy but I like that it is locking handle as well. Should be able to easily hook up to the reverse lights...once I replace the switch in transmission since my reverse lights are actually not working right now.

I used one from Camera Source. Les than $300 installed in a Pop N Lock self keying handle. Took me all of 20 minutes to install.

Are those pop and lock handles reliable?

Have had no issues. Love it. Both the keyed and codeable ones work well.
