Hey I was wondering whats a good relatively good priced unit for my 2010 tacoma w/ JBL. looking to spend around 300.

    -Touch screen
-back up camera (can I have both rear view mirror and radio's screen work at the same time?)
-able to control/select music from my iphone
    -steering wheel controls
-cd player is ok, nice to have but not needed
    -Navigation
-Black surround dash kit.. I HATE the Silver , would like to wrap my air vents on either side of the radio in black if possible.
was thinking something like this: Pioneer's AVH-X1600DVD

I really like the Pioneer NEX systems but they are 500+ and out of my range and come with apple play which seems decent, but all i need is to control my iphone from the unit / steering wheel controls and I am good.
mainly want the bigger screen for back up, the one on the rear view mirror is kinda tiny.

    any suggestions would be helpful.
    :D

not really possible to find anything new that will do that for $300. if you do find some chinese cheapo, or cheapo sony, or pioneer, etc you will be sending in for warranty work every other week. budget between $1500-$3000 and do it right the first time because in the end if you buy a cheap one, you wasted your money because eventually you will get fed up and buy the one you should have in the first place.

same as lifts, if you buy $100 spacers, you will install, hate them and toss em, then buy 5100's, then toss em, then do it right with new coils and springs. thats best advice i can offer. could have saved alot of money just doing it right in the beginning.

    try clarion or eclipse

Holy Smokes $1500 , so a 300-500 unit would be worse than stock unit?
Not looking for anything crazy here, just basic iphone/cell phone connectivity, steering wheel controls, nav, and backup camera cause the one on my rear view mirrior is small as hell.

Funny you mention bilstein 5100 , that's exactly what I am shooting for. I hear nothing but great things about them. not very hardcore here.. no rock crawling in my future, just looking to level her out, more clearance. camping , desert and snowboard trips is as far as i am ever going to take her.

I actually went with the Pioneer AVH-2600BT which was perfect for me, Primarily I just wanted bluetooth connectivity and didn't need a high dollar stereo. I had the older equivalent model in my last car and it worked perfect for about a year then some kids stole it out of the car and destroyed the whole dash, but that's another story. I have the JBL system and the head unit makes it sound 100X better. All in all I paid $230 for the unit on Amazon, $50 for the pac tato adapter for the jbl, and another $50 for the steering controls...that I couldn't ever get working. The stereo has been working with no problems and I can put dvds in while waiting or hook up my phone to mirror the screen if I want to also. Hope that helps alittle for what you're looking for.

Look up Pioneer's Appradio model SPH-DA210 (unless there's a newer model).
    It's right around $300.
