You sure 'bout that? That Typhoon would do 0-60 in under 3sec on the street, pump gas, all-season tires. Street light to street light there wasn't too much that could hang. The launch on that thing was savage. It displaced numerous cell phones & a radar detector from the front to the back hatch area and was a destroyer of dreams. By dreams I mean transmissions & transfer cases. :D

Almost pulled the trigger on a clean low mile one in California and then a local (Colorado Springs) Syclone w/only 163 original miles (not a typo) caught my attention. The pics looked shady (tiny little thumbnail pics and interior looked dirty as heck) so I hesitated to make the drive down and another guy from SyTy.net swooped in and scooped it up. He had it shipped East and detailed and said the dirt was 20 years worth of dust. He had it detailed and said that even the undercarriage had that new car smell. Turns out some collector bought it and drove it to his storage/display area to drive only once every few years before he got bored with it and eventually passed away. His wife was selling off his rides after he passed. Still kicking myself for missing out on that one. I actually missed out on both vehicles but that Syclone one still haunts me. :(

Edit to add that your 'One day it will be mine' statement was mine for the Supra & the Typhoon. They were both my dream car as a teenager so when I had a real good year I paid cash for both. Got the Supra in Jersey and the Typhoon in Minnesota. Sort of a reward to myself for all of the hard work I put in.

Probably the cleanest engine bay I've ever owned and I've owned a dozen or more brand new vehicles.

Lots of effort spent on that engine bay. Larger T3/T4 hybrid turbo, junked the air to water intercooler setup for a air to air intercooler with all new plumbing (I painted it flat black since I don't like chrome/polished), methanol injection (that's the methanol reservoir on the driver's side in front of the stock windshield washer reservoir, lots of relocated and deleted stuffs to attain that look.

Here's what a stock engine bay looks like to give you an idea.

Here's a front shot so you can see the front mount intercooler. Looked pretty mean coming down the street. I cut in Lumina Z34 front fender vents in the hood too that are functional which you can see in this photo.

Very cool man. What was done with the supra? My 240 was a autox track day car. My step dad volunteered a lot with barbers motorsports park back home and it was a lot of fun to drive through Tennessee and the tail of the dragon.

    Was $60 for two.
I've read lots of stuff about how good these radios are. ..

I had to laugh when I opened them up though. They're tiny!
I don't know how something this size could have any power.
They look like something you'd get out of a cereal box.

See how long this one lasts me.. Seems pretty stout. After spending so much on g shock watches that I break every month let's see how a "dive" watch holds up.
