I know that the DCLB does not come in a TRD Off-Road edition. But I still think I want one, for both the LB and DC. I don't want to compromise.

But does anyone do any serious offroading with this configuration?

Can I upgrade the diffs to lockers?

Or should I do it right and get the Off-Road package with a SB?

I have a LB with Access Cab, but I just can't haul the kiddies around in it anymore, but I think I'll keep it for the wife :)

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
There are plenty guys wheeling DCLB trucks you just have to pick your lines with the long wheel base.

I don't think I've even seen a single-cab before, at least 2nd Generation. That won't work for my kids, obviously....

I have yet to really have any problems with mine. I like you bought the DCLB for cab space for maybe a family one day and I use the hell out of it for work hence needing the 6ft box.

Off road is not bad in it, and Im still sitting pretty close to stock. Like is being said constantly, just pay attention and pick your lines. I rarely get stuck and Ive taken it out in the desert and mountains in Cali, the mountains of Colorado, and through the sand and swamps here in Florida. Its been fine and not once have I had an issue where I got stuck and if Id had a short bed I wouldnt have. Its a perfectly capable truck. I even have the sport model which a few members here call the barbie edition and it still makes a great work/off road vehicle and Im sure your kids will be fine in the back, I stick adults back there all the time.

Check out Sytfu510 and JLink's builds and you'll see that wheeling is fine in a long bed. I myself have a long bed and do just fine.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Guys wheel full size trucks with 8ft beds all the time, a DCLB wouldn't be much different, if not a little easier because it's narrower and can fit more places.
