I'm sure there is already a thread somewhere out there on this but due to lack of time to sit around searching through threads I thought I would just make my own.

Do any of you have the Pro comp stage 1 3" lift on your tacos?

I've been looking for a while and was going to do a block lift but got to thinking I wanted something I can do a little off-roading with. I have heard a lot about CV's breaking and other such things with the blocks. And I'm sure there are cons about a suspension lift as well. Just curious as to other opinions about one or the other. Or specifically on the pro comp.

I'm new to the lift world so anything will help!

    Thanks in advance y'all! [IMG]

Not sure what stage one is but I have the Pro Comp 3" lift with front coil overs, rear shocks and AAL.

Its pretty stiff but nothing crazy. I paid 380 dollars 3 years ago and have put 50,000 miles on my truck. If you pound pavement, i'd buy this lift. If you do any amount of offroading, i'd save your money and get something softer.

I'll also add that i just replaced the rears after the seals went and the bushings. So 50k miles and the rear shocks were toast. The fronts are still doing ok, but I'm replacing them soon.

You did say that. Sorry, I didn't mean to one up your reply..lol

I'll add that my rear shock bushings we're toast at 30K and both had leaking seals when I took them off

What kit would you recommend? I don't go off road much. More just for looks but I also need something that will hold up.
