Oh okay, that's cool. The cost of brackets is ridiculous for what they are. Made my own for my hi lift.
Just wanted to give you a heads up if had the ones that are cracking.

If I only have the rear 4in block can I use the 5100 extended shocks?
Right now I have the Maxtrac shocks on the rear. I want to upgrade.

    Thanks in advance :D

i think many would recommend the adjustable billies for multiple reasons

    1. the lift cababilities
    2. the ride
    3. changing all 4 shocks at same time

i personally was on a budget build, so I got the rear 3-4'' lift extended billies, and kept my front oem shocks, but added a 3'' spacer lift that my good buddy spruce was so kind to give me, so yea i have the maxtrac spindles and 3'' spacer lift

    Nam beat me to it.
I did the fronts cause I wanted more than 4" of lift & wanted to do away with the spacer & better ride. Plus I just wanted to do all 4 at the same time.
    I agree 100%

On the website they say to use this shocks with at least a 4"block.. I just have the Maxtrac 4"lift which included the 2" rear block, should I be ok with those shocks on 2 rear blocks? I am confused. Lol

i think common spring combos with the 5100s are the ome 884, 885, or 886, the higher the number the more weight it's meant for, so usually intended for those who add plate bumpers and/or winches, also eibach has a spring that I see people commonly run

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/to...n-5100-lift-kits-lr-ucas-ends-11-17-09-a.html

I don't have either set up, but I don't see a problem with your stock coils

as far as the rear shocks, I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it, but I would measure what yours are sitting at at now, add give or take 2 inches to it to account for the block, and use your best judgement on which rear shock to get

    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-1...lstein5100-ride-height-adjustable-shocks.html

I would think as long as you have sufficient up travel and down travel you should be fine.

Others may chime in with better info, or you can also call one of the websites, i hear dsm has excellent customer service

If all you want is 4" up front your factory coils will be fine with the Billies set at 0, I'm still running mine set at 1.75
All the ones Nam mentioned will give you additional lift.
I thought you were going higher cause you asked about my rear setup, I have those cause I'm lifted 5.5"
If all you'll be running is a 2" block & nothing else in the rear then those shocks will be too long. You should run the ones for a 2-2.5" lift p/n 24-214667 which is a 5125 according to the dsm link Nam posted.

I could be thinking about this wrong, but from how I see it, if you go with the 2-2.5'' shock the compressed length is just about the same as the 3-4'' shock, and you'd get 2 extra inches of up travel, so you can't really go wrong getting the 3-4'' one, in case you want to go taller later

Rear shock Part #24-186728 will work with TSB and Non-TSB with a 1" or 1.5" AAL.
    24-186728 Dimensions:
    Extended Length: 22.94"
    Collapsed Length: 14.02"
Rear shock Part #24-214667 will work with a 2" or 2.5".
Bilstein 5125 series 24-214667 Dimensions:Note(90 day warranty on 5125 series from original date of purchase)
    Valving: 170/60
    Extended Length: 25.98"
    Collapsed Length: 16.14"
Rear Shock Part # RCD/Bilstein BE5-B110-T5 will work with TSB and 1.5" AAL or a 3" to 4" lift as stated.
    BE5-B110-T5 Dimensions:
    Extended Length: 27.28"
    Collapsed Length: 16.34"

    Hello fellow Max trackers,

Let me just say that I am very happy with this set-up! So much so that I "may" reconsider wether my next purchase will be a PreRunner or 4WD. For the off-roading that I do, the limited lift height of 4WD (unless I go drop bracket) & expensive lifts I may just go PreRunner again.

Since my wife & I plan to buy my youngest son a car next year I'll hang on to my truck for a couple of more years. I may leave it as is or set the front 5100's to 1.75, install 315/70r17, & call ECGS for a compete diff with 4.10, 4.56, or 4.88 gears. Which ever they recommend.

Thought you only had to use the lean spacer with coils other then stock. They are made to account for the lean if I'm thinking correct so if you remove the spacer it should even it out more? Again I could be wrong.
