Hey I have the BFG KO LT265/65 R17 Load E Tires. The max psi is 80 for these tires. When I got them mounted the auto shop had them aired up to 62 psi all around. I took it on the highway and it handled like a death trap. It was super bouncy and the rear was very squirrelly. When I would shift lanes the rear would wag back and forth, kinda like a fish tail but back and forth quickly.

I did the chalk test and it looks to be over inflated. For now I have it aired down to 52 psi front and 50 psi in the rear and the squirrelly rear is gone, it does not bounce anymore either.

Anyone with these tires have recommendations on tire pressure? I may go a little lower, like into the mid 40s after driving a little more.

Here are some pictures below. One is with the chalk on the tire the other is with it on the ground and running over. The first is the tire profile and last is after driving with the chalk.

I have the same tires. I think I'm at 32 all around, and I still find it rides stiff. When I bought my truck, which wasn't that long ago, the previous owner ran the tires at 26. It rode a lot smoother. My truck is hard on fuel- 14.8 mpg mixed driving, and I believe these tires are the culprit.
