Sliders that have ability as actual step bars?

I've seen a few sets up close and been researching to, and was wondering... What is a good quality slider that has enough down angle to also act as a decent step bar for a taco lifted 2.5"-3"?

Maybe tht does not exist, however it never hurts to ask?

Nfabs look nice however any kind of serious off road work and it would appear those downward steps may get caught up, therefore a slider style would be more optimum.

If you have some sliders you feel work fine as well to actually enter the truck as well please give me your feedback. Thank you.

 

I have SOS sliders made with 0 degrees angle meaning they are flat. I then made fill plates out of perforated metal sheet. SOS also has steps that mount under the slider for those that need an extra boost up.

Pretty sure trail gear are 0 degrees as well. Reasonable price too.

 

I'm interested in the same thing as OP. vssman those look really nice. What did you paint with to get all the little edges in that expanded metal?

 

Any vendor that produces sliders can make them any angle you want

 

These are advertised as a step/slider, not sure how well they work as sliders though as I do not have them.

BAMF sliders with a kickout. I have them on my Taco and use them all the time to get to the roof rack.
Love them and Jerry at BAMF (Bay Area Manufacturing) is awesome to deal with.

Or just do this. Save your correct angle, and put these on when needed, and unbolt when offroading.

 

I brushed on POR15 to prevent any rusting and then top coated with Duplicolor bedliner. For the bedliner, I had some brush on left from an old project and finished with a couple of cans of spray on. No difference between each. I bought the expanded metal from Grainger as an 8' sheet. It was delivered on a pallet by truck. A little cutting, welding and that's what I ended up with. It's possible one of the vendors can replicate the fill plates or do something that looks even better. I didn't want solid plates as they would get very slippery in the winter. My former truck had running boards; they were nice but would collect ice and be more slippery than owl's shit. FWIW, I think having kick outs when flat would stick out too far. Mine are far enough that I have to stretch to get in without using them as steps and I'm about 6' (ok 5' 11")

I have a complete all around Avid Armor bar/slider wrap sitting in my garage. He provided me with an extra two steps that I'll weld on myself when I determine what angle that I want them at. (I'm 5'8" and my wife is only 5'2" - the Hobbits)

All-Pro APEX Extreme Duty sliders have a fill plate. Get those, and then have the top of them line-x coated for a very grippy and solid step surface.

Rattlecan the bottom side so they still Slide... or get the whole thing line-x'd... they just wont slide so well over the top of rocks if you do that.

 

I got my All Pro Heavy Duty sliders welded at 10 degrees rather than the typical 18-20. And they stick out perfectly. You don't meet fill plates. i just sprayed them with duplicolor bedliner and they have a good amount of grip and durability,
