Looks great. I had to work around ABS module in that corner. You should have lots of room for pump and stuff there.

I mounted my heat exchanger behind the grill, infront of the radiator

Love it. tweeek, do you winterize it? No issues with water freezing in the systemm?

What pump did you go with?

ALso, do you keep a nipple on the top of that disconnect?

No I dont winterize, I just run the pump for a few seconds to purge most of the remaining water from the lines. I live on Vancouver Island though, so winter here is very mild and the truck is not a DD, and garaged when not in use.

I dont plug the quick connect, not too worried about anything falling down there that wouldnt flush out with water pressure.

I opted for no bypass valve and have had no issues in the 16 months since install. I have used it probably a dozen times.

    This!

Listen to this... So in the summer we were getting cooked with record heat and no moisture, or rainfall. Bureaucrats ratcheting up water costs, made me take a look at my laundry washing machine output as a source for keeping my lawn alive. Long story short, I used a 40 gallon trash can, a sock, a float switch, a PC computer power supply, GCFI outlet, 50 feet of hose and the Flojet pump.

I estimate the Flojet pumped some 4,000-6,000 gallons of water while in service in this configuration. It never had one problem. I did have to maintain the filter though. The whole thing worked beautifully and it kept my lawn alive and saved me money.

    :)

    Hmmm
I may be reworking My system to include that check valve I had to delete...

    I'm going 85 mph
    Its 62 degrees out
    Water temp is 197

This normal? Seems to be running hot for having plenty of fairly cool air flow.

I should note I've been cruising at that speed on flar ground for last 70 miles.

Either this truck wasn't meant to cruise that fast or wasn't meant to have a shower plumbed into its cooling system. I'm hoping for the former over the latter

Ask in live what the temps are supposed to be at. If I remember correctly, my motorcycle runs 170-200ish range. Could be wrong though.

What are y'all using for tubing? I keep getting some kind of white funk growing on/in my tubing. At least I think its the tubing and not the water cans

Run some bleached water through the system. Just keep cycling it through for 10min or so.

    Ok learned my lesson today....

If you're gonna do this project, get a pump that can ACTUALLY prime itself when dry.
Or, get one of those big bladder bags with a hose outlet. My pump is riveted to the undercarriage so changing pumps will Be costly and a pain in the ass
I was two minutes into a nice shower, turned the shower nozzle off, covered myself head to toe in soap and then the pump lost it's prime. Stood there nekkid, cold and covered in soap cussing myself for not getting the bladder bag that wouldn't let air into the line.

I've been looking at pumps with an 9'-6' dry priming
