    Designed for extra heavy items, like spare tires, surf boards, canoes, and RTT's.

    See this thread for standard duty bed brackets.

    Design details:

    - Constructed of 14 gauge steel.
    - Mounts by locking into factory cleat.
    - Black textured powder coated.
    - Can support a load of 400 pounds in the center of the bracket.
    - Slot on the top will accept a 3/8" bolt.
    - Works with stock side rail caps, or my aftermarket caps.

    Price is $185 per set, or $95 each.

    I'd be much more interested if it simply bolted on to the rail without the OEM cleat. Any options?

    Granted, these are the standard bed brackets and not the HD version under discussion here. I'd planned on home-brewing a new set of hardware, but luck would have it that the standard Yak mounting brackets worked perfectly. That luck probably wouldn't extend to the HD brackets... but I can't imagine how it wouldn't be possible.

    This is an excellent example of how to put these babies to use, and it should work for both the standard duty bracket, and the HD bracket.
