Time will tell, they seem to have a good open tread pattern, slightly more open than the cooper discoverer STT, I'm stoked!!

Torque app w/a OBDII bluetooth dongle. Works pretty slick and gobs of things you can do for not very much money.

Yeah, even tested several of the more popular ones out first-hand. I was impressed with how well it stacked up even to those costing 2-3x more.

That's the one I've had in the Tacoma for a few years now and it works fine. I've had the orange label one that is larger for even longer and it too has worked fine. There are some more expensive ones that advertise more features and options but for the money you can't go wrong with this one.

Seems like all the "features and options" would be in the software...
All this does is provide a connection to your OBDII port via bluetooth no?
Can't imagine any possible features

I ended up getting a obdlink scanner (gree one) after having the blue one posted. it does refresh much more per minute or second and there was noticeably less lag with the more expensive one

For the most part, yes. I did see one a year or two ago that was like $100ish and it was a lot 'smarter' than these dumb ones that are 1/10th the price. I forget what all it did but there were a few features it offered that were nice but nothing I would say came anywhere near justifying the price. Quicker connection and better performance. It had a few power features that did things like shut it down when the vehicle was shut down or when not in use and stuff like that. I don't recall exactly what the features were but it's nothing you need. It was more a list of stuff I read through and went, 'Yeah, that's a good idea I guess' but not worthy of the price tag at all.

Damn you appear to welding some thick shit. Looking good Ray. Hopefully I will pull the trigger on a welder this year. I know I need some practice.
