    I already have the idea but I don't think I will put it to use. Cut the sway bar in half with a band saw, use a 1.25" ID steel tube as a sleeve over the cut part. Drill (2) 1/4" holes (one on each side of the sway bar cut) and bolt the sleeve in place, remove sleeve when you are wheeling.

    I also had an idea to weld some teeth to the sleeve with a small 12VDC motor with a switch in the cab to make it automatic with a button.

    Hahaha can't. I'd go crazy not having it in the back of my shop collecting dust :rolleyes:
    That would be smart but it would be impossible with skidplates. However the automatic idea is a good one... I believe that's how they come apart on the rubicons right?

    Yep a front sway bar that can go independent ends easily would be a good mod. I thought about simple ways to do it, but remember if when you go to reconnect the front A-arms must be at same angle (springs compressed the same) or it will force sway bar to mis-align your front heights. I don't think I am saying it right but you know what I mean.

    I think the best way to do it would be to send the bar over to branik or currie and have them cut and spline it, then make a sleeve that slides over the splines to connect the two, sort of like a hub gear. Granted it wouldn't be super cheap but if you could convince someone to make enough of them I bet they would sell. Whoever mentioned the 1/4" pins, I think they would sheer off pretty quickly, theres alot of stress placed on that bar.

    On my friends JK, he has these awesome quick disconnects. You just pull out a pin and move the little linkage thing (idk :facepalm: ) over and pin it up out of the way.

    You can also check McMaster.com and look up "edge trim" they have every shape and size. We supply those with the Hi clearance rear. .060" wide for the sheet metal and .125" for the fender flairs.
    I don't have the part numbers handy at the moment
