I all of a sudden have a squealing dieseling sound coming from what appears a pulley. It happens when I start the truck and then off/on for about 1/2 mile then goes away? I think it goes off when some sort of clutch stops (like 30 sec after I start). (sounds like it's out of oil but I just changed it this past weekend so I know that's not it - LOL.

Anyone know how I can isolate the sound without taking off 1 belt at a time till I don't hear it? Also, has this happened to anyone?

I've got the 02' prerunner with the V6.

Thanks for your help Keakar, I'll take a look at that this weekend (hopefully it won't be raining).

Well today I finally was able to tear the front apart and I picked up a new idler pulley for the 2nd belt (AC compressor).

Before I put everything together I fired it up with the alternator and AC belts on. Nice and quiet.

I add the Power steering pump belt on and SCREEEEECH! After 30 seconds it goes away. I loosen up the belt and it's quiet. I tighten it up and SCREEEEECH again. I grabbed the pulled on the pump and could move it. Anyone just replace the bearing on those? I don't want to buy an entire pump when it's only the bearing on the pulley.

    Bueller?
