I'm kind of a noob when it comes to suspensions but I have a stock prerunner with a flowmaster catback. I'm interested in getting a 6 inch lift and so my questions are,1) will it take care of the "lean" that's on the stock truck and make it level. And 2) will I have to mess with the current exhaust system I already have. Thanks!:)

    1) It depends on the specific 6" lift kit. In increasing order of cost: Some stick a big spacer on top of the stock shock. Some come with longer replacement shocks. Some include adjustable coilovers. The last one can be adjusted to compensate for the Taco lean.

    2) Yes, that's the whole point. The stock exhaust system aft of the catalytic converters is removed and replaced with the Flowmaster system. That's why it's called "catback". A cheaper way is to just get a Flowmaster muffler, cut off the stock muffler, and weld the Flowmaster muffler on.

Lol I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I meant I already have the catback on and wanted to know if I would have to mess with anything if I get a 6" lift

Oh, then no. The 6" lift doesn't interfere with the exhaust system, stock or modified.

Just noticed you have a PreRunner. It would be easier to get 4" lift spindles along with 2" lift shocks like Rancho Quicklift or OME Nitrocharger. You get to keep the stock suspension geometry and get better ground clearance than the 6" drop bracket lift kits.

The 6" drop-brackets lifts are invasive (gotta cut frame crossmembers and weld in new ones).

So it would look the same to do spindles and shocks vs a procomp or fab 6" lift kit. If it isn't i can just get the crossmember work done at my dads dealership if it's a better ride
