My brake boost runs to the stock intake and I dont see where to hook it up on the CxRacing kit. Just curious. May have to fab a fitting somewhere down stream of the turbo.

But thats gonna be boost side :notsure:

There's also another vacuum fitting currently connects well down stream from the TB.

But if you're on the brakes, you're probably not boosting (off the gas), and the manifold should be in vacuum.

It is going to see both vacuum and boost. Unlike a TRD setup. Gio and MadTaco both are right. Just add in a check valve so that boost pressure doesn't go to the brake booster's diaphragm.

This is also the reason that having the PCV system removed from the intake is important. Since that boost pressure will pressurized the crankcase as well, if it is attached. I think i remember that your catch can is now vent to atmosphere yes?

Yeah, can is vented. Damn glad to hear this now. Gio, where did you get your check valve for the break boost?
I know right? Doing it this weekend if it kills me.

    Thanks! Ordering.

I have two hoses that connect down stream of the TB; "vent line to the atmospheric side of the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm" and "filtered air source for charcoal canister system." Not sure where to hook these up; can I just put a filter on these? Otherwise may get some fittigns to weld into the pipe b/t the filter and turbo.

In this picture you can see it best (from ):

I should probably get one to take the stress off my master cylinder, lol. The master cylinder has an internal check valve to hold back positive pressure, but I should get one of those too before I wear out something first.

duuuuude those check valves Tor linked are flippin expensive!!!!! I got mine (same exact thing with same specs and ratings) off ebay for a few bucks a piece. Here are some similar ones http://m.ebay.com/itm/310512051942?nav=SEARCH
Like already said the brake booster already has a check valve, so only 2 (I think) lines need check valves plus the PCV which you already have taken care of. They aren't super duper important if you aren't drag-racing right away so you don't have to let that delay the turbo install till they come in. Your booster line should be on the far driver side of the intake mani which shouldn't need messing with at all. In regards to all the post filter/pre TB hoses, I just tee'd them all together (excluding FPR hose) and hooked that single hose up to the 3" intake elbow with a single 10mm nipple that is right before my turbo/after filter. You can see it on my thread pics.

Thats where I got mines. So far no problems with them. Brother has it in his truck too and runs way more boost than I am and it holds up well.

Yeah those suckers are tough. I had one inline with my 150 psi air compressor and it never broke or leaked. I did switch to a brass one though just because I know that thing will last forever regardless. Even 20 PSI of boost is nothing

So had an interesting convo with CxRacing. They were confused why I needed a Vband adapter for the Turbo exhaust port as it should have been built in.

Turns out they sent the wrong turbo; a GT-35 with a T-3 exhaust side (basically a T3/T4). Not a whole lot of difference but this one should spool a little sooner so Im ok with it. Both are pretty much the same on the site; cxracing offered to exchange them but figured I'd keep this one.

Turbo I was supposed to get:
    Turbo they sent me:

Yeah that thing is definitely going to spoil faster. You should see boost at around 2700 RPMs or hopefully a tad sooner. My gauge starts climbing at 2000 RPM (nany nany boo boo) :D

Hey Chris, I'm having issues with this CX kit again. Now it's the darn wastegate gasket that's leaking/worthless. If you can find some high quality all metal gaskets in town, I would pick those up before your install.

Gasket leaking? Did you use the large metal spacers by any chance? Im not sure how this is supposed to fit together btw, can you send me some pics?

Im probably going to use the Stove Sealant I showed you as a gasket maker (or the Cu gasket maker but not sure how hot these get). From what Ive heard, don't even bother with metal gaskets, they all suck.
Cx sent the wrong flange
