Hey guys, I posted this up on t4r as well, but thought it would be a good idea to check in with you as well.

I'll be moving to Georgia from Arizona by the end of this month. I'll be out in the Greensboro/Putnam county area for about a month and then permanently located in cherokee county after that. Hoping to find some new places to wheel and new people to do it with. I'm always up for meeting for a beer or two or three as well. Here's a few pictures of my rig in case you see me driving around. Looking forward to hopefully meeting you.

Good looking rig man - I currently live in downtown Atlanta but my folks have a farm up two counties north of Cherokee in Gilmer County so I'm usually driving through Cherokee twice a month for dirt bikes / hunting / fishing / wheeling / drinking beer / whatever. I'm afraid you're gonna be taking a step back as far as far as wheeling but there's still a few worthwhile spots in the northern part of the state. Keep me posted when ya get in the state, I'm always down for a beer and meeting new folks. If ya happen to ride motorcycles, I ride with a pretty big group of dual sport riders and have access to a ton of good trails and roads

Awesome guys, I know I'll be taking a step back, but I'm looking forward to having water too haha. I'm determined to find spots to wheel too. I mountain bike as well and there looks to be quite a few spots to ride. Haven't picked up motorcycle riding but it's been something I've been contemplating getting into. I'll be there this month, so may is a definite possibility. I'll check out the trip to Beasley as well. I'll let you know when I'm up and running.

Man if you're into mtn biking, North Georgia is a destination for the east coast, tons of good trails and Tennessee and North Carolina both have some awesome trails too. Keep me posted, once it warms up I'll be out on the trails

Welcome! You can probably find some logging & power company trails down there. You're not far from Athens but you are certainly out in REAL Georgia. There are lots of camping and hiking options within two hours trip north to the Blue Ridge mountains.

Nice, if I can brave the cold i'll probably try and hit up some mtn biking trails out near union point while im in the putnam/green co area. Once I get to cherokee county, it's on! I've seen quite a bit up there.

Mike, i'll hit ya up for sure.

Blake, any wheeling/scenic driving spots up in your neck of the woods? Maybe we can get some people together for a beer in Athens after I get out there too.

Not sure about off-road, but the Mtn bike and motorcycling jaunt is Cleveland to Blood Mountain and back. It's grueling and pocked with roadside memorials to everyone who has died on that stretch. I passed three dead bodies on one trip up and back.

And plenty of people who have made the run hundreds or thousands of times by riding within their limits and recognizing it's a road and not a track...

don't know about wheeling locations but I can tell you that living in Georgia will give you a new perspective on terrain. Lots of green growth, not so much for desert.

Let me know when you make it to cherokee county, I live in woodstock. We can grab a beer at one of the local "Taco" Mac's (no pun intended tacoma guys). Nice rig, I have a 3rd gen also.
