Glad you got the install done! Post up some more pics if you have them. Also I just realized that I forgot to put one step in the install directions. The two washers that are in the bag with the wiring harness need to go in between the scoop and the hood inner structure on the rear two mounting studs. this helps hold up the scoop from sagging in the middle. I will add that info right now.

I'll get some more pictures later. The sun is behind my truck and I'm getting horrible glare off the hood. That's why my camo bibs are in the other picture I posted.

Here are a couple more pics. I'll send you a message with some ideas for the future brackets. I also have to get a pic of how the back of my scoop fits. There's a bit of a gap between the very back edge of my scoop and the hood.

Before I realized the scoop has to be installed before everything gets buttoned up on the light.

Does anyone in the initial order have a bug guard in the hood. That's the only thing I'm waiting on word back from I. Order to see how much/if it affects the beam pattern. Thanks

I don't think anyone has a bug guard so far. I have had a couple people ask about that and I havnt been able to give them a good answer yet.

I don't think a bug-guard will block much (if any) light.

I like it too. I'm guessing the scoop light bar doesn't really add any significant light when the bumper one is on? I'm in a similar situation with 2 20" bars behind the grill... the scoop one would just be for cool factor :D

The nice thing about the scoop light is that it seems like it can be on all the time. I drove almost 100 miles last night & this am with other cars on the road. I intentionally left it on and only had 1 person flash the brights at me. I was even following a buddy of mine to a field we were hunting this am. He drives a Honda Civic. I called him to ask him if it was overly bright and he said the only time he really noticed it was when I was within 20' or so (basically any time we stopped at a stop sign/light). You can NOT get away with that with the 30" bar.

The nice thing about the scoop light is that it fills in the space between the factory fogs and the headlights. It isn't nearly as effective as the bigger bar, but for under $200, I think it is money well spent.

It also helps pick up deer eyes on the side of the road and road signs really stand out with it turned on.

I have a T-Rex wire mesh grill in my scoop. The mounting holes on the grill don't line up with the holes where the rivets were on the back of the scoop but I was able to cut the grill to make holes big enough to put screws through it. I also used the ends of the original plastic insert as spacers between the grill and the lights that I have in my scoop.

The scoop grill also matches the T-Rex inserts that I have in my main grill and bumper grill.

Alright, I put mine in today. Overall, I'm very impressed with this kit. As long as you're able to cut the hole in your scoop relatively evenly, I think anyone will be very happy with this.

First off, this is a great looking, and sturdy bracket. It's a shame that it's hidden under the hood. Very nice piece:
    AEA7DC21-92AF-4113-BBA3-A72A93CC28A6_zps_332bc0288f77bd0a1ef454b14fab27dd9f927fe9.jpg

There're already very good install instructions here, so I won't bother with the details, but here are a couple little things that might help.

Not sure if you can see it in the pic, but I just ran the wires above the inner hood structure:
    F012AD2C-5A0A-4857-B69F-3DD003A00421_zps_67fc5bc8447c17d355496d6313bf06ccbeec8566.jpg

Zip tied it to the vent grate and tucked the wires behind the end of the hood rubber:

I mounted the relay on the same existing bolt that I used to mount the relay for my trans cooler fan:

The following pics do not do the light justice. My camera just could not capture the actual light output of the lights. That, and I realized after I took the pictures, that there was a nice film of road salt and grime on all of the lights when I took the pics...
This little light is quite brite as seen in comparison to the stock fogs:

And, against the KC Daylighters. I should've left the headlights off for this shot, but you get the idea:

You can't tell, but this is a shot into my garage with no lights on:

    With the scoop light:

This LED light in the scoop compliments my Daylighters perfectly. They are spots, so it's nice to have the flood to go with them.

I backed up to the end of my drive here. You can see that the flood and the Daylighters do their respective jobs better a little further away. I would've liked to have gotten back further, but I would've been in the road...

    Just the Daylighters:

Thanks again C4 Fab for letting me be a test dummy! I'm loving this setup!

Looks like a fluid reservoir, maybe for power steering?

BUMP. I've been trying to think of a way to make that silly scoop useful/functional!!! Glad I saw this. Maybe when my tax return comes in I'll jump on it.
