BACKSTORY: I took a 34 hour grey hound bus from Denver to Corpus Christi Texas to buy this '99 Tacoma w/100K miles an TRD stock supercharger. ROLLED THE DICE GOING TO A PLACE I HAD NEVER BEEN AND ENDED UP WITH AN AWESOME TRUCK!!! 25 hour drive back to Colorado on 33" mud tires isn't as smooth as it seems (haha :) )

...bottom line, I'm 100% committed to building up, maintaining and wheelin' a SICK NASTY custom rigged Toyota Tacoma 1st gen around my mountain home, Crested Butte, Colorado

Nice truck, I'm looking forward to see how it works out for you. My 99 is similar but more stock and about twice the miles. I have a couple of questions:
    1. has the timing belt been done?
    2. What do you want to change with the dealer flash?
    3. Why the change to tundra brakes? Is the stock system lacking?
    4. I have old BFG ko's and love them, so how do the new KO2 do in mud and wet grass, the downfalls of old KOs.
    5. my stock 3.4 is pretty quick, how fast is it with a blower? 0-60?

    1. Timing belt needs to be done--I'll just assume it hasn't been replaced so I can swap the water pump at the same instance and anything else that needs touching up.
    2. ECU flash gets the timing of the engine back to factory setting--wish I could elaborate on this further
    3. Stock tacoma brakes are junky--it's worth it to have money spent on being able to stop the truck that much quicker (MANDATORY upgrade if hauling/towing/plated up with armor driving above 45mph)
    4. New KO2's should be similar to the duratrac's from what I gathered--either way its going to get tested this summer. Will give periodic updates on the KO2's
    5. ..superchargers make the car faster/bit more powerful. I personally would spend dollars on suspension, wheels, brakes, frame maintenance, cleaned/tight engine block before I bought a supercharger. It's nice it came with the sale on my end--but by no means is it a make or break.

basically, Superchargers are fully utailizted if everything else on the truck is tight (even the paint/body work--spend the money upfront on a Super for an older Taco, have the surface rust become pitted because you didn't seal it with updated paint work....no good as it makes the Super worthless at that point)
