Ah well that would be a good solution then. It is a pain in the ass to open the swing out all the time.

Yep. Lucky for Chux he has a double cab and no kids. Just needs an arb fridge.

I would love an ARB fridge!! Its just not going to happen soon. Need to save more copper :anonymous: For now my work lunch cooler will ride shotgun and the ice cooler will be on the truck somewhere.

My Double cab constantly looks like an access cab..
Until the fridge the back seat will remain a coat closet

    ^^^ This

My surf rods are 9' and 10' long. I sometimes mount the rods horizontal with the Thule ski mounts, cuz when I go inland the trees growning over the road can be low and damage the rods. I even opted for the front window slide with the cap so if I went into the store or bar while having my fishing poles with me I can put them inside. They damn near span from the windshield to tailgate.

Hopefully come spring I can get to working on a safari basket. I plan on making cross bars for the basket to fit the Thule ski mounts so I can still have this option to mount my fishing poles horizontal.

Ordered some amber led covers for the light bar. They should be plug and play but quickly after trying to do so I ran into a problem..

    E4E4B6EE-4711-468E-A891-53F46AACCDDD_zps_dcce357eb4b9368dda48fc2f47e8766846751070.jpg

Seems as though the top side of the light bar snaps right into place with the covers yet the bottom side misses snapping into place by a hair. Measuring both sides I see the top measures 3/4" to the snap in channel and the bottom side is an inch.

    Top side
    1FBB40D0-6DCC-471E-9BA5-8DC97695C0F7_zps_f1901edff310274f339f8f70944bc5c0bcd53606.jpg

Bottom side, you can see a pencil line marked at 3/4"

As it looks I decided to take an angle grinder to the light bar and cut a 1/4" off the bottom of the light bar. But as I start to get into it I realize that all I need is a groove for the cover to completely snap in!

I ran a groove up the entire light bar with sucess and ever cover plate now snapped into place perfectly.

Notice any wind noise with the rack and light bar?
The light bar on my patrol car drives me insane, I'd love to pick one up eventually but worried about noise. Especially highway speeds

Theres some given there would be, but nothing not tolerable. The strange thing is I think there was less before the wind fairing.. not for certain but Im thinkn that before the wind split and went over and under the rack. With the fairing it can only go over except for the two pockets on either side of the light bar, seems like two little wind catchers. Im most likely going to close them off in the future. But as I said overall doesnt bother me none.
