I know.. No drive way anymore either :(.. Luckily I could probably run a power cord through my backyard out to the side street to get power tools to my truck. I agree, that garage had so much junk in it.. Thats funny, I'll never forget those birds haha.. Traumatized.

Edit: Just pulled the trigger on a flex shaft grinder (aka fancy dremel) and some sanding cones to do some porting/polishing on the intake and exhaust.

Thanks bro! It's doin alright.. Lacks a bit of power at about 50 mph going uphill though, basically stops accelerating and stays at 50.

Hoping that the 01-04 exhaust manifold and some porting will fix that flat spot.

Mine does the same, luckily only at high altitude though.

Hmm never knew the 6cyls had a little flat spot too.. Makes me feel a little better about my flat spot. I'm sure at higher altitudes my flat spot would be pretty bad though. Lucky for me I live at sea level basically haha.

Do you have the deck plate mod? That helped me with uphill highway power. Although the 3RZ isn't a large engine it always screams up hills in 3rd gear at 70+ lol.

Not yet but yea I'm always struggling trying to keep it in 3rd (highest gear before overdrive right?) and trying to make it so it doesn't downshift and rev up crazy high. I was considering doing the deck plate since I'm doing all this other stuff to try to give it a little more high end torque.

I forgot you have an auto... so not sure. MT ftw

Deck plate won't make a huge difference, but I think I noticed a small difference. Chris4x4 posted a while back with dyno results, iirc about 4 hp sounds about right. It can't hurt!

Haha yea I wish I had a MT.. Yea that's not much.. I bet the deck plate combined with a little bit of porting will do something noticeable though.

Hmm not really sure guess I'll find out, one person already said its 35mm and another said it was 36mm. The walk through I looked at said 36 but who knows lol.. I'm just glad I saved the receipt.

Yea if it's too big I'm sure I could just put a piece of paper on the nut or something to make it fit a little better. But In the end I'll probably return it after I'm done and get the right socket if it is loose.

went and picked up some more goodies from FedEx today. Can't wait to start porting these bad boys and my intake!

Here is where some of the porting will be going on.. It's hard to see but there is quite a bit of extra metal in there.

Closer shot of just one of the bottom holes..

Nice Truck! What does it mean to bob the bed? I see people relocate their spare tires all the time and I still haven't figured out why.

Thanks bro! It means to shorten the bed, my bed is no longer 6' it's more like 4'11" or so. Well a couple reasons the spare tire in its OEM spot is pretty difficult to get down if you need to change the tire in an emergency, for ground clearance, and cause it's 20x easier to work on anything in the rear of the truck without the spare there. I had to do it to bob my bed.
