    Look at build!
Probably about to get my second RTT here soon! A slightly smaller version of my current one! Motivation to finally build a trailer hopefully..

Thanks for the input guys. It's nice to know that with only minor mods the standard mattress are comfortable. Going to be really testin the reps knowledge and patience testing these things out here shortly

If you have an RTT on a bed rack on your truck, how do you ensure it's level when sleeping in it? Just chock the tires with rocks?

I carry wedge blocks with me to level it out. I also usually have a trailer on, so I use the trailer jack to aid sometimes lol.

Hard enough to find flat spots for just a tent footprint let alone a truck foot print.

Plus I'm trying to make it more enticing for the GF to go camping. She's only been once and is not really a fan. Plus she doesn't like the idea of driving on rocky 4x4 trails to get somewhere.

I'm fighting an uphill battle here, my friends....

I can't fight that battle lol. Sounds like you will need on board hot water as well so she can shower. I've thought about those blocks I posted. Or you can try and find rocks. But if it were me, I'd rather just bring what I need to start with instead of running around the woods trying to find the perfect rock. Haha

Well first things first... I have to buy an RTT

But I do like those blocks you posted. Very cheap. Provided they are durable enough, they make sense.

I know when she goes camping with me, she'll love it. She was turned off by her DB ex who would leave her at the campsite and go 4-wheeling (ATV) for 5 hours without her.

Plus I know of a few local spots that awesome. I'm pretty sure I can change her mind quickly by giving her a great experience.

Yeah, RTT usually helps  could always start camping at local camp grounds to get her acclimated to the tent then start doing weekend wheelin trips. I'd also be pissed if I got left at a campsite all day by myself while everyone was out having fun.

I hate camp grounds as well. If I wanted to sleep in one, I should have just bought an RV and not the RTT

Finding good level flat spots can be hard. Part of the reason I sold mine. Even at the campgrounds here it can be challenging. They normally have tent pads and then uneven parking spots that rv's and trailers can adjust to easily. Kinda kills the fast set up time but I find stacking rocks works. Some people carry 2x4's or Lisa had lego things to drive onto.

I found that a lot of the people that don't like camping is because they are used to going to a campground, setting camp, pulling out a chair and sitting in one spot around a fire until its time to pack up. Just make sure there is a plan. Most girls enjoy a light day hike. Bringing a pack of cards is a good way to quickly kill a few hours if the weather is bad.

She will also probably like getting out and away from campgrounds more than she thinks. I know my friend hates it when a guy takes her to a campground because people are around to see her be nasty and such. She likes to not have to brush her hair or wear a shirt. Etc. She is a bit on the hippy side of life though .

I can't do campgrounds. She'll hate them too.

I know of a few spots that are ideal wheeling camp spots. And not too rough getting there.

I know here there are a ton of forest service/fire roads that are well maintained but go way back in the mountains and to good views, she'd probably like something like that.
