    Some thoughts that might help.............

Post in correct (for sale) forum

State the year of the truck and how it's equipped.

    Better, and more, photos

Document service history, even though it has low-ish miles

State how you arrived at the 'dealer offer' for trade in. In other words, the offer you get on a trade is very different, depending on how you approached them.

    1) you walk in and say 'This is what a I want, and this is what I'm trading', you'll get one number.

    2) you walk in and state what you want, best cash and carry deal, and get a number on the new vehicle. Then go back and state you changed your mind, and want trade, you'll get another number.

In #1 they are inflating your trade allowance to make you feel fuzzy. They can do that by not lowering the new vehicle price nearly as much as they have room to do.

In #2, IF you did a good job on your cash negotiation, you leave them no choice but to tell you the 'real' allowance your trade is getting. Likely it will be in the neighborhood of $2k (or more, depending on their estimated prep cost) under what they expect to retail it for.

You've priced it $500 more than trade I assume to allow for tax benefit loss, which is reasonable. But is the price you've picked based on a #1 or #2 scenario?
