    How did the install go? Were you able to slide the mounts in from the side? Or, were you able to install the mounts "straight into" the bed rail? Did that make sense?

    Also, does the jack stick above the side of the bed? I really want to get a cover for my bed and I keep thinking the jack head appears to stick above the top of the side rail just a little bit.

    The install.. well there really isn't one. You just slide the rectangular "nut" into the bed rail, then torque the bolts down. Install done! The jack sticks up because in the pic I mounted it that way. If you flip it upside-down, it won't stick up. Hope that helps.

    Did anybody else have issues with the supplied screws not fitting into the bracket that fits into the rack? I guess I'll swing by the hardware store and figure out what screws fit this, but it was a little annoying that it didn't go. I even whipped out a cheater for my allen wrench, but still no go.

    Edit: after examining again this a.m. I think I just need to chase the threads. Powder coating appears in the way. Good excuse to buy new tools.

    That's what I was wondering...if you had to slide the "nut" into the bed rail from the end, or if you could "angle" it in exactly where you want to position the mounts. The only reason I ask is that I have a camper shell that will prevent me from sliding them in from the ends.

    When was just working on mine I slid them in from the end. I tried to tilt and it was a no go for me.
