Ever since the leaf spring TSB was done on my Taco I have been chasing vibrations and front wheel shimmy. The driveline vibrations are tolerable but the shimmy in the steering wheel is back again. Dealer replaced the Bridgestone`s that came on it due to being out of round. Replaced with Michelin MS 2`s. Road force balance x2. Funny thing is wheel shimmy was almost non existent during the winter with the cold temps we had in the North East. Temps in the high 40`s and wheel shimmy was pretty bad on way home from work. About ready to check on a trade for a new Colorado/Canyon.

Does the problem go away with a tire rotation?

My stock height 14 has a wheel shimmy at 60-70. It went away at 5k service when I told them about it and they balanced tires. Came back before 10k mile service. Same thing again. Tires. Getting a little old tbh.

    +1. Got a # or even better, a copy?

OP, Road Force balance is good stuff. IF the tech 1) knows how to use the machine and 2) actually uses the Road Force function. (it can work as a conventional spin balancer.)

Did you watch them be Road Forced? If not, you don't know they really did. Or not.

I'm not kidding. This is a VERY common issue in some sports car circles, and way too often the tech is the problem.

Not saying balance is your issue. Just suggesting you reconsider that it may be.
