    Hello all

Starting this to document the progression of my 01’ 4cyl extended cab in the hopes of being able to help anyone with similar projects and find out where I could have done things differently!

I bought the truck from the original owner with 95k miles, a 3 inch spacer lift with MT wheels and Yokohama tires. Both CV’s were in great need of replacement, all ball joints blown, and sagging leafs. The valve cover gasket blown, and quite a few other smaller issues.

CV’s, upper and lower ball joints, and inner and outer tie rods were done first then a bit of body work and under coating.

For the suspension I ordered the Bilstein lift kit with 5100 shocks from toytec. It includes Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks front and back, Toytec/Eibach Front Coil Lift Springs and Toytec Rear Add-A-Leafs in the rear. Along with SPC Upper Adjustable Control Arms.

Installation was much easier than expected, and the alignment afterworlds was pretty straight forward as well.

Initial ride impression of the front shocks was fantastic, ride wasn’t overly firm and a huge improvement from what was on the truck!

If you’re still reading, this has all been over the span of a year and lead up to today. Next on the list is to install the rear lift (waiting on shocks as they’re back ordered), remove the flares and trim the fenders, bumpers front and back, replace the rattling glass pack, and wheel spacers.
