    Oh it’ll work.
I thought about that too, but I was really set on STT Pros and they aren’t available in that size.

Damn.. ya think? I’ve seen a few guys run 315s with a -25 (16x8) but the cutting was extensive flares and fenders too..& cab mount relocate I’m not trying to cut fenders/flares (i don’t trust myself to do a good job) @literallynothing runs 315 -38. He cut and smashed a bit more than i trust myself to do on a spanking new truck.. that’s why I’m hoping to get away with a 305. Do a Big CMC hammer pinch, cut liners, maybe bang the firewall back a bit.. without trimming fenders/flares.. i still have yet to find someone running this size

The shop i went to looked at me like i had 3 heads when i told them what i wanted..

When I said it’ll work, I meant beating and chopping. Lol. I don’t know if it can be done without cutting fenders.

    275/70/17 on stock heights.

Despite 4wheel parts assuring me that their rim would be perfect/no problem with this setup, I get a bit of rubbing when wheel is turned and I hit a bump (think dip in road as you pull off into a parking lot).

3" leveling front, and 2" rear Rough Country. BF Goodrich 305/65/17 KO2
305/65/17 KO2 on 3" leveling on front and 2" on the rear. The weight of these tires are killing the power and the ride at 63lbs/tire. Truck gets hungry for gas on the highway and constantly hunting for gear. (Used ECT, it helped a bit)

Had I known they were going to bog it down, I would have chosen a lighter tire.
Choices are limited at 275/70/17 . I think there is cooper and Kumho. So now I am considering 285/70/17 maybe a Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2, to keep the weight in the 47 lb range or so.
I am tired of that lousy ride. Don't get me wrong, the KO2s have a hell of a grip on the road and off road, but too heavy for the truck.
Wheels are procomp 5160/ 4.5 backspace.

I’m on 285s with a leveling kit on my second gen and the ride sucks too.. I don’t have any gearing issues.. the ride is just uncomfortable and jarring

Oh and about 13mpg city 18hwy

I am maintaining between 17.5 and close to 19 mpg locally, but it's a menace on the highway. Coming back from NC to FL , I was getting between 13.5 and 15 mpg. Anytime the speed is over 65, the mileage is ruined.
I am comptemplating bring it back to stock and put 265/70/17 where no lift or leveling needed.

There is the Mastercraft ATX in a C-load at 275/70r17 that weighs in around 47lbs. Mastercraft is a brand that Cooper Tire manufactures for.

Thanks for the suggestions @Matt3400. I am gonna make a note of it. I gotta wait until I wear those Ko2 little more. I only put 10k miles on them so far and they still got lotta meat on them. These tires last a while.

Love my 265/75/16 A/T Goodyear Duratracs. Only wish they came in a 255/80 or 85/16 size.
