“Chief Engineer?” Is this guy an imposter? Laughable walk around a 2019 Taco.

    Maybe it's just me, but his interview isn't that bad. He actually knows more about that vehicle than most Chief Engineers at big corporations would know about a specific product. Yes there are some knucklehead moments, the most glaring to me is the engine size, but honestly he could easily have just been second guessing himself or not wanting to make the host look dumb. I think a lot of you are misinterpreting the role of a Chief Engineer. Think of him more as the department head of R&D. He's not in the weeds, he doesn't scope the vehicle requirements, he resources and staffs projects in accordance with what Marketing comes up with based on their research and conclusions. His team takes those requirements, turns them into specs, and executes (or tries to). IMO the Product Manager should be handling interviews like this because they are usually in the marketing department and they are the ones that should know everything about their product.
