I miss the simplicity of carbs/points etc.. but that's as far as it goes.
For my daily driver though, and especially in the winter, EFI all the way.

Agree. I don’t miss changing plugs every 12K miles or so and replacing points and spark plug wires far too often. Such an improvement in reliability these days. I do wish I could actually see the spark plugs though lol
At least my 2TR-FE still uses a spin-on oil filter can.

There are a lot of threads here that make me wonder if this is the first vehicle that person has ever owned before. lol

    I like this thread.

I was actually wondering why we dont have a section dedicated to people that comolain about shit they should have realized on the test drive. THEN give all of us the option to hide that sticky from view.

    Yep..
...and when was the last time someone you know ran their battery down because they flooded the engine, and the fucker wouldn't start.. all in -20 weather?
The Taco starts exactly the same, no matter what. Now, we only see about -20C where I live, so a bit of a disclaimer there.
Sometimes I see ppl pining for the good ol days on here, and to them I say you must have forgotten how miserable driving anything carbureted in cold weather really was lol.

I particularly enjoy the posts where the author complains about the taco not being fancy like their friend’s Bentley / does not come with a diesel / or a V8 / has no front locker / no wood dash, / and 35’s… all of which would add $$$$ to the cost.

This is is typically just after they reveal in another thread that that they’ve financed 110% on their base SR contractor model and are complaining about the cost to fill it up.

Easy now, don’t make me prove that my SR Poverty Package is superior to your TRD PRO as an actual truck doing truck things like carrying loads in the bed

Got the truck a couple months ago. A lot of things I HATE about this truck.

    1. My RPM goes through the roof every time I pass somebody, like any other cars/trucks do.
    2. The backup camera sucks. I only use it probably when going back out of the driveway ITS A BIG DEAL OKAY?
    3. THEY PUT SAFETY FEATURES ON MY TRUCK. God I'm going to go to the dealer and have them disabled and hate the truck after.

For sure! I don't know why they even bothered putting that thing on. I push it and the vehicle starts like most of cars nowadays do.
