OEM Off-Road grill with Black surround checking in. Can you guys post your grills that’s not a “Pro” style grill? Feel free to check in that you got a “Pro” grill as well. This is an equal opportunity posting. Good luck with your brackets and have a great night.

When the 16's came out there was no Pro and guys were installing SR5 grills with black surrounds. The PRO's came out and now any slightly modded tacoma has a pro grill.

The Toyota safety sense really stiffled the grill vendors, but there are plenty of choices.

I remember when I was one of the few with the pro grill on my 2nd gen....AE915094-C157-46A4-ABB1-7F6B17DD406F.jpg

    Then China did their research

The reason so many people have the pro grill is that it looks good.

I liked it for the retro look .... now I’m starting to not like it. But I would like to hear everyone’s opinion on it as well

In fairness, I don't dislike the other grills that much either.

    Still stock completely capable!
In B.C. Canada I think it comes Stock on every single trim level. I can’t even see a 3rd Gen Tacoma without a pro grill on the roads anymore.

That being said I do love the look of it!

The only knock on the pro grille is it is obviously just cheap plastic. Even the OEM version. When I took off my 2017 OR “black chrome” cheese-grater grille I was actually surprised at how nicely it was made. Then I took my OEM TRD Pro grille outta the Toyota box and thought “da fuck is this?”. However, I am a slave to fashion, so I’m still rocking that cheap plastic OEM Pro Grille.

I kept my factory grill, simply for the fact that everybody and their brother has a pro grille.

I saved my chrome cheese grater. I’m going to wait until all other grilles are Pro grilles then put it back on. The chicks will be like “wow.....his truck is so fancy!!!”

I think Toyota doesn’t allow you to show the logo on a replica part being sold so the sellers do that to keep Toyota off their back
