Oh and you can feel all the bumps when driving our dirt roads, at least in my truck comparatively to my mom's f150 (but hers is also a 2015).

Looks like you have a spacer in the front and a block in the back.

spacers and blocks are really the same thing, just a piece of metal like this

Nice truck OP. Personally I bump down a size from 285. Most gens it's an issue without some persuasion like :sawzall: or :smash: and sometimes much more much more. A pic of the mount of the front suspension from the should help you get more questions too as previously asked for.

My 04 is the same way,I feel every bump and crack and deformation....lol....what I love about my truck is-at 225,000 when I do hit a bump its a solid thump,no interior noise no suspension noise, just a thump.I get payed to find noises in cars....so the slightest rattle drives me crazy...I've been known to pull over in the ditch to throw a water bottle in the bed....

You will need some new shocks soon.looks like the bushing on the front bottom is gave up.you can replace just the bushing if that's what ya want,if they aren'tt leaking any fluid.
With the bushing calapsed like that you have lost a bit of front height...not a lot,but it is down on the bushings.

No it has a amp in the sub....actually it has everything you need to set it up in the box...I bought a amp install kit...get home open everything up and the power, rem, and sound feed is in the box....still have that amp install kit in my building..
Just a heads up,the hideaway doesn't use rca cables for sound feed....it pulls from the speakers.so I pulled my pioneer head out and pulled sound from the rear door speakers..that way I can fade out the sub when my girls are in the back.

Your red light thingy looks very similar to the setup we had at a car lot I worked for. It was a combo GPS/ignition defeater system. Of you were late on your payment we could send a warning which made the light flash every time you started your vehicle and if you didn't call or come pay... It stayed red which meant you weren't going anywhere.

I'd definitely track down those wires and if there connected to the ignition somewhere I'd make a trip to a professional... Cut them wires and your truck might not start again.

Aye... What kind of shocks would you recommend? (Keeping in mind, that I'm a photographer, which could be considered a struggling field, and therefore don't have a lot of money. Lol.
And my biggest event I shoot once a year, is coming up soon, which definitely requires my 4wd.

You can just replace the bushings.look at were it attaches to the arm,front.....see the sag there....it will start clunking in the future....mine are a bit worse(no noise yet)I'm just going to replace my shocks(225,000)they are done...
No need in spending 1000.00 bucks....just do the research, find a good set of bushings and have them installed.

Yeah, it's a compliment to your character. The fact that you choose to drive a lifted 4x4 toyota says a lot
I am a big believer of Old Man Emu suspension. Both my US tacoma as well as my Land Cruiser in Australia have it. While they do sell kits, you can buy parts a few at a time as money comes available also.

The blue (tokico) are used by toyota (my 2002 came with them while my 98 had bilstein). I dont believe 2001 came with them - I am thinking the truck originally shipped with yellow Bilstein shocks - could be wrong though. If you are looking to save some cash and want a basic shock on there that will perform well - I'm going to suggest Bilstein 4600s front and back. Not sure if the 4600s would require removal of the spacers/blocks - others can chime in on that. If you want to spend a more cash, then perhaps Bilstein 5100s in which case I doubt you'd have to change anything (blocks/spacers). Since I'm not really a fan of the spacer/block type lift - I'd vote return to stock ride height and go with the 4600s.

Congrats on the truck and welcome to TW.
