Sounds like you need to find the rear view mirror that goes with the back up cam. I don't think I could live without it at this point.

So planning on taking the truck to the cabin this weekend 3 hr drive each way, trial by fire

I checked my tires and ffs they were low on air and one was a different size

    245 70 16 x 3
    265 70 17 x 1

Looked at spare on 1st Gen
    245 75 16

Looks like I will have to change over 4 tires tomorrow

    Hey Jon :hattip:

I recently got the wild hair to explore North East Canada in the next year. My goal is to take about 2-3 weeks and drive from VA up through Nova Scotia, ferry to NL, ferry to Labrador, and take the Highway down to Montreal then home to the states.

I'll definitely keep you in mind if this plan actually takes off.

Ok so the 007 Taco pro has been off the road for over a year, Toyota had it apart to put a frame in it, I have have it apart to do repairs to make it road ready, I put on a set of tires on Friday and broke off a stud and one lug nut.

What better way to test it then to drive it 745Km

Me and my girl (Terra) went to the cabin Friday after work to bring out my ski doo then Saturday morning i had plans to meet a guy from our local toyota group to help him scrap a dead 4runner that he was given. He told me other then a few parts he wanted the rest was up for grabs, this has the same motor as my 02 & 04 Tacomas

Toyota missions :) the 4 runner was a hour away used to access a remote cabin that included a 10 km beach run that i relay enjoyed. I managed to score a few usable parts for 1st Gen projects.

So how did the truck make out?

Other then the check engine lite came on within the first 5 km with codes P137 136 157 (o2 codes i think)
some vibration due to the tires / wrong lugnuts used
no windshield wash (line must be broken)
Shitty wipers ( ones i got in the $50 upick grab)
and head lights sucking in the dark
    there were no problems

I think will like this 2nd gen thing :)

Working through the check engine lite OBD2 codes
    P137 02 Bank 1 Sensor 2
    P136 02 Bank 1 Sensor 2
    P157 02 Bank 2 Sensor 2

FIRST i need to figgure out what side of the motor is Bank 1 & 2

This service bulletin provides information on the proper identification of engine bank 1 and engine bank 2 for correct A/F sensor and oxygen sensor replacement.

This bulletin contains information that identifies engine bank 1 and engine
bank 2 on the following engines:

    1AZ-FE, 2AZ-FE, 2AZ-FE (PZEV), 1GR-FE, 2GR-FE, 2JZ-GE, 1MZ-FE, 3MZ-FE, 1UR-FE, 3UR-FE, 2UZ-FE, 5VZ-FE, and 1ZZ-FE.

    • Bank 1 (B1) refers to the bank that includes cylinder No. 1.
    • Bank 2 (B2) refers to the bank opposite bank 1.
    • Sensor 1 (S1) refers to the sensor that is located before the catalytic converters.
    • Sensor 2 (S2) refers to the sensor that is located after the catalytic converters.

~Bank one is on the left side of the engine (Looking at it from the front)
~Odd cylinders are Bank 1 & Even are Bank 2

With this Goooogleized information it looks like my two sensors that are AFTER the cats are throwing the OBD codes

might be time to do the URD rear o2 simulator :)
