My boss's boss is from New Brunswick and currently there. She hadn't been looking at the weather before leaving because she didn't want there to be tons of snow.

Equipment trailer probably weighs more than a first gen. Dolly should be good-ish. I believe you will close to towing capacity so take it slow and steady.

Read your whole build from pg 1 during down time over a few days! Congratulations! (on the little guy and the truck) I found this thread trying to source an AC compressor delete for a customer and read 30+ pages before finding the belt part #. Had to finish because I had already come so far and it was fun to watch the progress. I’m in NH and deal with the salt/rust too (judging by your pics you do have it worse though)

I went through a lot of the same things you did, had an 06 DC and originally got it on the cheap when we needed a family 4x4 after son was born (now almost 3) they grow up so fast. Shortly after the frame was replaced this past year I sold it while the value was at its highest. It did have 200k mi but was a great truck! He fits in his new front facing seat much better (but not great) now in my daily driver 03 tundra access cab with 378k miles and counting.

Looking forward to more posts on this thread, thanks!

@Tshoe7 thanks posts like yours let me know i am not just talking to the empty internet and that keeping track of my wrenching adventures are worth it :)

The little man sure has changed my life and i would not want it any other way.

As for the Truck i have 2845 km on it, Cost me around $1.44 per a KM. I am enjoying the extra room over my fleet of 1st gens but it is not as good in snow as my 02.

Its good to hear that someone got some use out of the Ac delete, i went back and looked at my post and it does not clearly say what belt i used this is the one i ended up going with.

I get a kick out of all the automotive shows and other builds where rust is not a issue HEAT is a huge factor in all mechanical work where rust is a problem.

387kmiles is like 622816.128 maple leafs wondering if i did that right >?

Anyways thanks for the feed back

    Jon

I just put a gas fireplace in our basement and man what a difference. The kids actually want to play down there now.

Gas if you can swing it. In the 11 years I've lived in my house I never once used the fireplaces. (Gas furnace) our old place was electric wall heaters and a wood stove. I got sick of starting a fire every morning and installed a pellet stove. That was easier/better-ish just a ton of up keep and constantly looking for deals on pellets. NowIMG_1071.jpg

Went out into the garage tonight and I noticed one of the batteries I have that has started puking acid FFS

i have three that I rotate charge on

D4 cat loader battery for my camper, Truck store battery, and one to fit a Tacoma (silver one)

The truck store battery was the one that was leaking I am not sure what happened.

I left one on charge all night but not sure if it was hooked up to the truck store battery

I have a automatic battery charger so it should of not overcharged it

    They were laid on plywood

I used baking soda and water to clean it up

    Thoughts ?
