Bearing washer convex goes away from bearing, sleeve otter taper away from bearing, bearings are side specific due to abs sensors. Drivers abs is in-front of axel, pas side abs is behind axel.

@sparkystaco :) I am also glad to see that issue fixed although I had to take the packing rear brakes apart and bleed them again and they are still not right FFS !!!

Running out of patience with this

    Brakes suck again
    U joint problem
And now a throttle response problem- driving along and hit the fuel and nothing sometimes can go right to the floor.

    Any thoughts ?

I’ve heard tale of air bubbles getting trapped in the abs unit. Which requires a special bleeder I believe. No codes?

Don't believe there are any codes on the ABS.

Driving to work this AM the truck fell flat on its face, pressed the peddle and no response at all from the motor, then it came back.

Throttle research - Possible solutions - items to check

    1. Solution: IA1; Connector Joining Wire Harness and Wire Harness, Instrument Panel Wire and Engine Room Main Wire (Left Kick Panel)
There is a locking connector at the left kick panel that sits between the PPS/APS and ECM. The connection was not seated properly and locked.

    2. Since its electronic throttle I would look for loose connections that are part of the system

    3. Throttle Position sensors

    4. The only way the ECU knows if you press the brake or not is via the brake switch. So if you are booking down the freeway and the brake switch vibrates and closes the contacts ( even though you are not pressing the brake pedal ) the ECU gets a momentary signal that says you pressed the brakes and you have the throttle >25% open at the same time the ECU dumps the engine down to idle speed. Adjust the brake switch position or replace the switch if it is defective that should correct it.

    5. Fuel filter in tank / pump ?

    6. have you checked the pcv hose on the driver side of the intake, which goes to the valve cover

    7. HOWEVER, these engines did use an early throttle-by-wire system, and these systems did have problems with the electronic throttle actuator and/or the throttle position feedback sensor at higher mileage (both of these components are mounted on the throttle body). Check the Tacoma forums for more info on problems with the E-throttle system.

    8. Try bypass fuel resistor. Disconnect this white plug, connect wire from one contact to second. if your symptoms go away —*you need change fuel filter or resistor.

#4 sounds VERY INTRESTING as i am having brake problems and when i parked this morning my brake lights were still on .... pulled up on the peddle and they turned off.

Seeing as you had the intake off I would start there checking all connections.
As for the brakes, I can push on the gas & brake at the same time and engine accels unless you have the brake override flash that came out a couple years ago installed.
