    Damn guys i thought i was the only DC with a good system in it worth braging about... DD2510 on 1200rms... running all 0 gauge ofc 2 optima yellow tops and a stock alt... Need an alt... bd drop down to about 11.3 volts when im bumpin.. running about 75 rms to all of the doorspeaker.

    Yeah that's what was happening it wasn't allowing a constant voltage through the cca, I also had a pretty long run. Did work for about a year just fine though, thing the wire just started to weaken or something. JLs are pretty sensitive to voltage changes haha

    I've had both my amps smoke on me... Mtx rfl smoked from fan power wire rubbing on power supply till it finally wore through surging the power supply... Fixed by mtx for cost of shipping... My Orion 2200d xtr smoked from be having a durrrrr moment... Didn't have my speaker amp wired in at that point and turned my bass 40/60/80 all the way down on my deck then turned up sub level and such all the way up like a fool also repaired by Orion for cheap.... I threw some extra zips inside my mtx when I got it back to prevent anything like that from happening again.... Lessons learned lol

    Ive been running my performance technique for about a year and no issues... not the best brand but that thing pumps 1200 rms easy! it sounds great too...

    Yea I've had my mtx for 4 years minus the couple weeks it was shipped out for repairs... Once it get my box ordered in for my gmc i guess that's when I'll really find out if my Orion amp is wortha sht or not

    Ive only ever ran alpine and jbl as far as amps and never had an issue. One of the best sounding setups ive owned was 2 oldschool infinity perfect 12s on a 600 watt alpine amp

    Love it! Actually waiting on it to come back from JL cause my roommate dropped a bowling ball on it ... -_- long story but they're putting all new internals in it for $180. So can't complain haha basically a brand new amp with my old housing

    oh shit... bowling ball and an amp doesnt seem like a good time... I love my digital Designs sub it rocks and great sound quality

    Are 95-2004 alternators all the same? Think alt on my 96 is getting bad. Barely gets 14v with no power draw and i get major voltage loss. cant turn my 6 55watt lights on at idle without voltage goin In the 12s. I can get a cheap one off an 03 parts truck but seen a few new ones online sometimes say their for either 95-96 97-99 00-04???

    I'm in as deep as I woulda been if I woulda just bought bamatoy1997's 200a alternator... I'm actually gonna be contacting him soon about purchasing one of his 250a alternators only 320 bucks can't go wrong at that price and he claims idle amperage is 70% of the 250 which is 175-180 amp at idle a lot better than the next to nothing I get at idle with my current alt... And before I discovered him the only quality alts I were able to find were from DC power inc. they have a 180a-250a and a 270a but their 180 runs mid 300$ and the 270 is over 6hundo so ill buy from bama

    Yea they are. I bought a alternator from mechman.com 240amp alt for 4 bones, but defiantly worth it.
