    I bought a 01 Tacoma SR5 4x4 with the 5vz-fe engine. I was wondering if there were any power adders that I could add to it to gain some performance. I am not really looking to buy the TRD supercharger.

    There are none that make any power “cheap”.
    You’re a 4x4, so even a regear is going to expensive.

    You have 2 option.
    Do nothing and enjoy the truck for what it is.
    Or spend money. Lots of money.

    Nope, pretty much just forced induction. There's no tuner for the factory ECU either, so you'd have to go standalone if you want to gain power that way.

    Deckplate mod might gain you 5HP if you're lucky though, but you're best off just making sure all the maintenance items are up to date and fluids are the proper ones.

    I had mine powder-coated so that's another 5hp. Its a 2x if you add it to a supercahrger

    I'm not sure which is faster, but I've always been of the opinion that two stripes down the center of the car made it faster than one (late 90s Viper vs. Camaro). Not sure about that dyno stats on a single offset stripe though... :rolleyes:

    I don’t know what a Diablo tuner is but I’m assuming it’s a piggy back. I have a URD piggy back and I can control afr and timing. But it’s only tricking the ECU and not tuning the ECU but the piggy back.
