Should still be able to run at those gaps, right?

Yes it should valves are bent. Take the head off flip it upside down so it's showing all the valve and the head is level. Pour water into each area where the valves are. Look to see where the water leaks. Whatever ports have water leaking from have bent valves. After you take the valves out of the head you can spin them in a drill to visually see them being bent.

Kinda what I was trying to imply, wasn't absolutely positive. Thanks for input, even though I'm not OP, lol.

If i have bent valve means the clearance should be way off right? Well this one is too tight

Not necessarily. Depending how badly bent they are could cause the clearance to off. It doesn't take much for air to escape passed a valve. Even carbon build up could cause valves to leak. pull the head I know you don't want to hear that but it's the only way it's going to get fixed.

Just had time to do leak down test
Tdc and cyl 1 hook up the tool and hear hissing from the valve cover, not in exhaust or intake or radiator
Did with all cylinder with tdc also all same result

What is the % of leakage? Also are you opening the throttle body during the leak down to listen for air escaping? If the intake boot is still on it will be hard to hear. Some air out the valve cover is due to air passing by the piston rings.

Sorry its my first time doing leak down test and i did not fully open the throttle, intake boot already off
I think the leakage around 20% but i got the tool from harbor freight im not sure it was very accurate

Is it true that air escaping from valve cover means i have worn piston ring?

20% is passable. What do you have the first gauge set to? Shop air. How was the truck running prior to the new head?

Well since you never heard the truck run it's possible you have a worn bottom end. Your compression numbers are low. I think we all assumed the truck was once running and had a head issue so you had replaced it. How many miles are on the engine?

YouTube is a good tool to use if one is unsure of a procedure. As already stated 20% is not that bad. When you performed the compression test was the battery fully charged? You can also perform a wet compression test.

Like 10mgm said try putting a cap full of engine oil down each spark plug tube and redo the compression test. If the numbers go up then it's the piston rings. Make sure you have a battery charger on and the gas pedal down while cranking.
