    I have a 03 tacoma TRD 4X4 and I'm trying to find an aluminum skid plate. Having the hardest time finding one. Anyone have any ideas? Mine rusted and I need to replace it. I prefer aluminum but anything would be better than rusted one that you can see through.

    Most are steel because aluminum is too soft for that application. I would think anyway.

    ^ Your right, aluminum might be light and strong for some applications but is very easy to deform under weight. Steel is heavier but offers better protection when under a large load.
