In some states, the frame will outlast the owners ;)

    Elevate the issue.
Quite a number of people on this forum have had their frames swapped out long after warranty.

    Also ... there is no.......
"I got my truck rust proofed and have NO rust problem either"....

    hehehe

My truck is 8 years old and is been immersed in salt and calcium chloride every time I drive in the winter....and it has survived.....

The Chevy trucks that I've owned barely made 6 years before they rusted from the inside-out...

I use Corrosion Free....a spray-in rust preventive that has saved my 2006 frame, I'm sure cuz there are a lot around here that have been scrapped and bought back by Toyota... Mine looks very nice, thank you...

Up in the Great salty north, you gotta spend the bucks to rust proof, or you're dead man....!!

Don't go there you will be castrated for not having a rusty frame or wanting a legit poll. I already was in the post.

Luckily, in my Taco or Tundra I haven't seen any rust issues...that being said they spray a ton of mag chloride on our streets, but most of us just wash our trucks as soon as we can.

Status of Toyota inspection - failed...pending replacement
    Picture of frame perforation -

I think that the truck spent most of its life in Mass. I've only owned it 2 years.

When I was at the dealership last week for a frame inspection the tech in charge of them told me that my truck was the 3rd one in, in a little over a week. All rust-thru was at the same place. Right by the cats.

Took off the plastic "step" cover on the rear bumper and found this:

Guessing you need to disassemble the truck a couple times a year to check everything...

How long is it taking them to replace a frame? Weeks? Months? Do they include a loaner?
