Does the dealership charge you for a frame inspection?

skygear - It took a couple of months after the inspection to get approval from corporate but after that, they usually turn them pretty quick, within a couple of weeks. Mine took longer because they sent my frame to another dealer. I got a free loaner while it was being replaced. (Not a truck but a Corolla.)

They would not cover my FACTORY hitch because they said it would last a couple more years. We'll see....

NBorque - I was not charged anything.

My concern is that I have +130k on her. Did they change for the inspection? Then you were able to take the truck home while they were getting authorization from corporate?

What frame did you get? The newer style where the engine mounts are bolted on? or the same kind where ours are welded on?

In my case they refused the loaner, because they didn't consider me a loyal customer. I argued though that I own two Toyotas. Toyota hasn't answered back yet, but the dealer said either way we'll work something out.

Not me, but in my thread some said they were charged or going to be charged $125, which is completely unreasonable IMO.

Look back at the doc I posted. They noted every cut/weld to the frame that I did. Even lift, tires, ect. Excuses not to do anything IMO

    Edit: this is easier

Nice. Yeah. Might just make that appointment for early next week. I need the tranny flushed and all the fluids done also. Ran out of time to do it all myself. So I guess I will let them do it and earn loyalty status.

Probably, but in my case it wasn't a question of whether they'd replace the frame - just whether they'd provide a loaner.

Looks like it. My hitch wasnt on the truck so I cant comment there. Check out the cross bars above your gas tank. Mine were bad... didnt notice till we were removing the lift

So you helped them? Or you had to go back to stock before you got the work done? or when you sold it.

Saw it when we were removing the lift for my brother... going back to stock. Truck was traded to Ford after they offered me $750 on top of a trade for another Toyota. They didn't do shit for me

Drove that bitch to Ford w/ the screwed up wheel alignment too
