05 Tacoma park position problem

I'm new to the forum, I recently bought an 05 Tacoma for my son and now it is shutting off when we shift it into park. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this or have an idea where to start looking?

 

This rings a bell from someone lese having he exact same issue here on TW in the last year or so, I'll see if I can find that thread.

You did better than I did with the searching, but I thought there was another thread with a solution as well. Transmission range sensor comes to mind, the guy changed it himself, and it was seized on the shaft???

 

I looked for a while, unsuccessfully.
