07 AC rear window latch locking problem

    I have been having this problem for sometime now, my rear window latch lock keeps coming off (not on the sliding window but on the window behind the driver seat). I tried to lock the threading, which didn't help any. I am going to get some 3M double sided tape, the one I have right now is too thick imo. I have some contact cement left, would it be wise to use that?

    I tested the window when locking it, and on the second closing, the locking trim pops right off. I am pretty much the blame, I always seem to slam it shut. :(
