I have an 07 v6 shortbed, and want to put a flowmaster 40 on it to replace the stock muffler. i was wondering what offset (or not offset) combination has worked well for everyone else. also, i am pretty sure it has 2.5 inch pipes, but if i am wrong, please let me know. thanks!

you are correct with the piping on the truck being 2.5inch, and the offset doesnt really matter, as in i had a single in center/dual out flowmaster 40 with duals out the back, and i got rid of that and got a single in offset/center out and went back with stock location piping. whichever one you get will fit right in.

so reguardles of the offset, you can just use the play in the hangers to shift the pipes over a little?

yes....to a point. you will need to weld it in at a certain angle for a good fit though, so it isnt gonna move around alot.

thanks, it's just harder to find a center/center for a good price (i guess they don't make as many). currently i have a center/offset lined up for $47. the cheapest center/center i could find was $80.

    thanks again
