In all seriousness....how much of a pain was it to paint the lower seat plastic? with removal and all? I just got my WO's and looking at ur leather seats, the black plastic goes so much better. i think i remember u said you used krylon but is it satin or flat black?

Yah I used Krylon fusion satin black. I did it when I had my seats out to put on the katzkins. The handles pop off and the lower piece is held on by two clips and a screw if I remeber correctly. I think the easiest way to get it off would be with the seats out so you can see what your doing from the back side underneath the seat.

How much for the Katzkins altogether? I'm curious. i really like the look, unsure if I'd want leather though. My wifes car has it and I'm not a fan of the back of my leg sticking to it on a hot day in shorts.... lol

That is one good looking truck man. One question. when you painted all your plastic parts did you find that the paint chips off after awhile? what paint did you use?

My kit was $875 with all the options I wanted. Now that its cold out here in Oklahoma having heated seats is my current favorite mod.

Thanks man as long as you let the paint dry long enough it should be fine. I do have a few nicks in the paint here and there but no major problems and if your really that concerned about it you could always do a couple coats of clear coat.

I love your truck man. It gives me inspiration for my 2012. How hard was the retrofit install? Do you still get good light even when the reflector is black?

Thanks man. The projector retro took some time and skill since I went with the FX-R kit it was definitely a learning experience. Having the reflector bowl painted dosent affect anything because all the light out put is coming from the projector. Having every thing painted black is just for looks and my personal preference.

If you were to do the retrofit again would you go with a different setup?

Personally no the FX-R are some of the best out there. The extra effort of install is payed off by performance. If your looking for something easier to install look in to the morimoto mini. You can also check out TRS for all the components and kits they offer.

Thanks for the info! Do your wheels fit without a spacer?

When I had stock UCA's they would rub at full lock but I put the spacers on right after I got them.

I am thinking about picking up those wheels soon. Do you think I would have any problems with rubbing or anything at stock height with a stock tire.
