I know how you feel. Been trying to find an 09 4cyl 4x4 for the last two weeks. None available for sale in WI,MN,MI,or ND. Cash for clunkers sucked them all up. My dealer dose have a 2010 Regular cab, coming in on the 24 though and it is going to be mine.

 

I was at the dealership in Grapevine, TX (Dallas/Ft. Worth suburb) on Wednesday and they had 1 new Tacoma on the lot and it was parked near the back. It looked like someone had just bought it.

 

I'd like proof of that please, otherwise I call BS

 

Just today, I test drove a 2009 that was delivered to the dealership this morning. Supposedly, "the" 2009 I'm looking for will be there on the 18th. No 2010 Tacomas on that lot or headed that way yet.

 

I hear ya. The real bummer is that we cant take advantage of the incentives...they are for 09s only, so for the time being (unless they put incentives on the 2010s when they come out...which I highly doubt) we will end up paying a premium for a new vehicle.

Im not sure if Toyotas recent major losses will motivate incentives, or force them to tighten the belt. Time will tell....but I want a new truck damnit.

 

I just looked at at Asheville, NC and Hendersonville, NC's websites both of them have 2009s still arriving till late August.

 

wow, even on ebay all the used taco's are getting like 15+ bids on them. You'd think they were giving away veyron's for 70k or something-lol

 

Just got a call today that the Tacoma I ordered June 20th will be here on the 17th. It was built July 20 and will have the rebate so I don't know if its an 09 or '10. My local dealer has no new tacomas right now and only have on used one. Last year at this time they had about 30 new ones in inventory. According to my dealer they stopped production on Tacomas for a couple months which may be part of the reason there aren't many new ones on the lots.

 

Roseville Toyota in CA (where I bought mine last month) currently has 6 2009's listed on their site. What I was shopping Carson City NV Toyota has at least 10 and they say on their site that 1 is a 2010.

 

My 09 with the upgraded 7 speaker sound (not JBL) has them. They are crap. They are behind the headliner and sound like they are a pair of cheap headphones that have been gutted. I have turned all my sound to the front.

I'm quite sure this is not a 2010, it's not anywhere! Check what these updated cup holders are

 

When I talked to them in July they said the 2010 was coming in August and now they are showing it on their site (no pictures posted yet). I don't know if I will be through there anytime soon but if I go to Carson I will stop and check it out. The web site is CarsonCityToyota.com

It looks like it's really a 2010 from the VIN.

I'm tempted to call and see what changes it has (I hope more than cup holders) and why it's not online yet.

It can also be that the truck is on order, i.e. they know they will get one but have no specifics on it.

 

My 2009 sr5 access cab is finally scheduled to come in tomorrow. I ordered it Feb 9th...6 months ago!! I have the VIN # & it is an 09, but must be one of the last ones off the assembly line for 09's. I'm in northern MN. Long wait (had to have the beige interior), but at least the rebate went up to $1500

 

I traded a 1987 f250 13 mpg combined for a new taco 18 mpg combined. $ 4500.

I am still waiting for my 09 to get finished on the line. I ordered a 09 trd off-road, DC. My dealer told me that it was one of the last ones off the line and the the 10's will be rolling in. Hopefully I get it this month to keep the rebate. I doubt that Sep will still have the rebates.

 

Reviewing list - still no variable speed intermittent wipers on the 2010's. Talk about nickle and dime. My 1986 base Suzuki Samurai came with variable speed intermittent wipers. Wonder if the 2005 to 2008, and the 'backwards' 2009 wiper mod will work?

 

It'll still have the rebate. Whatever the rebate is in July/August about always stays the same until all the models from that year are sold, it just isn't advertised after then. If you found one sitting on a lot next march it'd still have the same rebate.

 

Id agree.. I just got mine for $27,400 and the MSRP was $31,400 I believe.. Best deal on the truck I've seen yet in my area... Gotta love clearance time..
