My 1964 Plymouth came with variable speed wipers. (Variable speed, but not variable 'delay'.)

Lol what do you suppose that board meeting was like at Toyota?

"Well, time to lay out the 2010 Tacomas. What do you all say about new cup holders? Yay it is. Getting back to the Camry..."

If it aint broke dont fix it I guess. Glad I stole a 2009 deal and didnt wait I suppose. Ill be curious to see what future Tacomas look like!

I traded by full size GMC for a V6 double cab (13MPG vs. 18MPG). So they do qualify.

Wow. I got mine for a little more than $500 over invoice minus the $4500 clunker rebate for Obama. That included the $750 rebate from Toyota. If you get one of their option packages, I think you can get a $1750 rebate.

We went truck shopping this weekend for our new Tacoma, Phoenix AZ. We wanted an 09 since Toyota had the $1000 cash back on them. We were specifically looking for 09 DC Prerunner Sport. Found only 4 left in the valley and one up north. While at the large local dealer the small dealer up north called us with a better price. So we went up and picked up our While 09 DC sport. We saw 2010s at at least 3 dealers here in the Phoenix area. Even sat in one as they were trying to sell us one instead of an 09, they were out of 09s. The other thing I noticed was the MSRP was higher on the 2010. Dealer said it was because more options are now standard. I didnt see that from the comparison I made. Again I was looking at a very specific model.

Here in rural IA there is not a single Tacoma to be found -- neither 09 or 10. I had a clunker to trade in, but was not able to do so as the dealer were wiped out. Ended up purchasing a used vehicle because the dealership wanted my Harley and I was ready to sell that.

My supposed "clunker" is a 4WD GMC with a topper, AC, CD, Tow pack, and in beautiful shape with low miles. Kind of glad it wasn't destroyed by the clunker program. Will make a great vehicle for someone who cannot afford to purchase a newer truck.

I DID clunker the same vehicle. It was in really good mechanical shape, but was getting killed with rust. However, I felt the same as you, I was almost hoping I couldn't make a deal because this truck didn't deserve to be destroyed. It was a great vehicle for 15 years and a beast in the snow.
