Just looking for a little insight.. I own 2009 Tacoma 4X4 5spd with 40,000 miles, Im wondering if 0W-20 oil is better than the 5W-30. I hear the 20 might not protect as well as the 30. I love this truck and want the best oil. Any knowledge will be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

I run 0w30 oil because its a lighter weight oil and gets really cold here and it doesn't become as thick as a heavier weight oil would. I havnt heard anybody using 0w20.

Thanks for the replys.. I live in south jersey, so really doesn't get below 0 degrees to often..

Read up on the info, seems like a lot of Tacoma owners like the 0W-20, I was just a little worried about if the 20 was enough protection..
